FAQ

Q. what does a virtual assistant do?

A.  A Virtual Assistant can provide administrative services remotely to businesses on an ad-hoc basis, with a one-off project or under a retainer package.

Q. How do i know when i need a virtual assistant?

A. If you find you are not meeting deadlines, not completing a task or even starting a task you intended to that day, basically constantly playing catch-up, then I’ve no doubt you’d find the assistance of a virtual assistant invaluable

Q. I only need a couple of hours support a month - is this possible?

A. Absolutely. I have an ad-hoc hourly rate as well as a range of retainer packages. I would also welcome a conversation about any other bespoke needs you may have.

Q. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TASKS TO DELEGATE?

A. Spend some time, maybe over the next week, making a note of the tasks that you complete each day. Identify those that you need to do, those that you don’t enjoy doing and those that someone else could do. You can also make a note of the time tasks take you to do and delegate those that are time-consuming. This will give you an idea of what work you could outsource.

If you are unsure about delegating out your work, you could start off by delegating a couple of tasks that will take an hour or so to complete and take it from there.

Q. what if I need work doing which you are not familiar with or haven’t done before?

A. There are so many different software packages nowadays that it is probable that, although I will have used many of them, I won’t have used all of those available. I am more than happy to research a software package and learn how to use it so as to support you and your business. If it turns out that it is something I’m not able to assist you with, I may well know someone who can.

Q. how do i send work to you/you send work back to me?

A.  I would request a summary of your work request via an email for scheduling purposes. Any supporting documentation required for me to complete the task can be sent to me via email as an attachment or, if the document is too large, a shared folder such as Dropbox can be used. I would return completed work back to you the same way.

Q. how do i contact you?

A.  You can email me on jenny@jennyrogersva.com
